Family Fun Regatta and Picnic
For the Silver Spoon Award

(Regatta event winner will be first in line at the Ice Cream Bar!)

The Family Fun Regatta and Picnic is intended to introduce children and their families to keelboat racing by giving them a sailboat racing experience. The regatta event winner will receive the Silver Spoon award, and will be first in line at the Ice Cream bar!

On the water event highlights Outstanding sail boat racing Special awards for youth and new sailors Beautiful traveling trophies Special awards for youth skippers/sailors
On-shore activities include: Picnic lunch on the lawn Blow boat racing on the patio Silent Auction Ice Cream Sundae bar

Because we want to focus on youth sailors, we have set up additional ways that a boat can win, including;

Standard WYC racing with trophies awarded at the WYC Banquet.
Host children and non-racing adults.
Have a person 16-years-old or less steer your boat
Youngest skipper
Lowest average age of invited children
Most generations on the boat

The Family Regatta and Picnic is held in conjunction with the Wine on Wayzata Bay. All funds raised benefit the programs of the Wayzata Community Sailing Center, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization
